Practice Candle safety!
Burn within sight on a level, fire resistant surface. Keep away from flammable objects. Keep away from children and pets. Stop using when only 1/4’ of wax remains. Do not burn more than four hours at a time.
For how long does a candle burn?
Typically, a candle burns 5 - 7 hours per ounce of wax. Therefore, a 6 oz candle is expected to burn between 30 and 42 hours.
Natural vs Synthetic waxes and their differences…
NATURAL: Soy - clean burn, decent scent retention and biodegradable. Coconut - clean burn, good scent and eco-friendly. Beeswax - natural, non-toxic, burns slow and evenly and sustainable and eco-friendly. Rapreseed - long lifespan, great for molded candles. Olive - natural and good for scented melts and molded candles.
SYNTHETIC: Paraffin - petroleum-based, affordable and strong scent retention; however, it is not eco-friendly. Gel - translucent, softer consistency than the others, good for decorative candles, a blend of mineral oil and polymer resin.
What is an all Natural fragrance?
An all natural fragrance uses ingredients derived only from nature, ie plants, grass, spices, fruits, leaves or even animal secretions.
Natural fragrances can vary from batch to batch (odor and color) due to the reliance upon natural ingredients and their availability, which can be affected by weather and other factors.
